Family Party

We were just going to have a big family celebration for Riley's birthday, but then my whole side of the family ended up getting together with us on her actual birthday. We lost a few, and gained a few, and had a great time. We, unfortunately, did not take that many pictures, so hardly any of the family is represented. Sorry family!

Riley's 2nd Birthday

For months, Riley had been saying she wanted trees and cake for her birthday. When she woke up on her birthday, she found a big tree tent and a real tree (which she told me was a plant) in her playroom.

After getting ready, we met Doug, Addie, and Grammy at Farm Tots at the South 47 Farm. The girls got to do an art project, pet the animals, go on a hayride, and pick cucumbers. We had a nice lunch at Racha, and then Riley took a good nap to gear up for the second half of her birthday festivities.

When she woke up, we went to swim lessons with Wyatt, where she had lots of fun practicing her swim moves. On the way to the locker, Riley had a little fall, giving herself a fat lip and scratches on her chin (it's been a high injury summer).

Next, we gathered at the Rain Forest Cafe with Grammy, PopPop, Uncle Jon, Uncle Dave, Auntie Chrissy, Matt, and Kelle. Riley loved all the animals, noise, and excitement. We ended the party with a special Volcano cake, complete with sparkler. What a lucky little lady!
