Riley got to play with her pal, Wyatt, at Beth's Baby Shower.

Ear Tubes

After one ear infection after another, Riley had the surgery to get the tubes put in her ears. Here are pictures of her in her little scrubs before the surgery. She did great and was even up to riding her little car by the afternoon. She had her 9 month checkup the week before, and she is 28 inches long (80th percentile) and 17 lbs. 14 oz. (40th percentile). She's perfect!

Last Day on Island

The girls woke up with the sun and had breakfast together. We had so much fun and were sad to have to head back to reality.

Day 2 on the Island

Riley was mesmorized by the ocean. We brought her bucket and shovel down to the beach, but it was way too cold to play. Riley started snuggling in by tucking her arms under her. So cute! She also started doing some of the baby signs (more and all done), but using them without meaning. She gets closer to crawling every second, and enjoyed watching her friend Addie's crawling and walking skills.





We had lunch at a sandwich shop that was tucked into the back of a gas station, but had the "best sandwiches in all the land." Then we had dinner at "Gay 90's Pizza Parlor." Riley just discovered straws and loves them!

Whidbey Island

We spent the weekend with the Fischers, at a cabin on Whidbey Island. It was a cute place with a beautiful view of the ocean. Riley had her first ferry ride to get there, and loved playing with Addy.

Cute Cargo

Riley and Morgan got to ride in the wagon to pick up the big kids at the bus stop.

Life Vest

Jonathan bought Riley her first life vest to match his boat. We were going to go boating with the family, but we got rained out. We'll have to go a lot this summer, so Riley can use her vest.

Chris's Party

Our friend, Chris, moved to Colorado, but returned to celebrate his birthday. Happy 31st Chris!

BBQ at Dave's House

We got to see David's finished kitchen, when we got together for a BBQ at his house. It looks so good! Riley is practicing her walking skills.

Aunt Chrissy

Chrissy surprised me and came into the town. We had so much fun! Here, Riley tries Chrissy's glasses and decides what to order.

Outdoor Fun

Riley is not sure about grass. She tries as hard as she can to balance on her butt, so her bare legs do not touch the grass. She does love being outdoors and thought it was fun to eat on the patio.

Fun at Daycare

Riley loves playing with her friends at daycare. The boys are always on the move, but Wyatt sat long enough for a quick pic.

Finger Puppets

Riley loves her sea creature finger puppets. She wants to share Mr. Crab and is very interested in the striped fish.

Brunch at BluWater Kirkland

We met up with Grammy and Grandpa Ron to celebrate her 31st and my 1st mother's day.

Mariner's Game

We took Riley to her first Mariner's Game with the Fischers. The girls made it longer than we thought, through 4 1/2 innings. Both girls sported their pink Mariner's gear, but Riley had to peel off the layers when the sun came out.

Purple Foot

We did some project with Riley's foot and hand prints. Here she is showing off her new purple foot.

Here Kitty, Kitty

Riley is so close to crawling. This lion scoots across the floor with Riley hoping to catch it without having to move.

Beautiful Day

Riley enjoyed playing in the grass after some experimenting. At first, she held her legs parallell to the ground so her feet wouldn't touch the grass. Once she was sitting on it, she starting realizing it was on all sides of her and that she could pull it out of the ground. She went on to look at it closely and taste it.
