Thanksgiving in Mexico

Day four in Mexico was Thanksgiving. Even though Riley's skin had not been exposed to the sun, the reflection from the ocean or pavement caused her to get a little burn under her eyes. She woke up with her eyes swollen and that put a halt to any time spent outdoors. The only time we left the room was to go to breakfast and after the sun set at 5:00. Not exactly how you would want to spend your time in Mexico, but there was no way we were risking anymore sun damage to our precious baby. Riley continued to work on her grabbing skills, including grabbing her dress and pulling it up (you can see her swollen eyes). We met the family for a fantastic Thanksgiving dinner of filet mignon with blue cheese sauce and chocolate mousse for dessert (not the traditional turkey, but delicious). There was even a turkey tied up outside for all the kids to see, and at some point, it managed to lay an egg in the bushes. Riley ended the day wading in the kids' pool when the sun couldn't hurt her fragile skin.
